This has a realistic simplicity to it, and I like how the characters in the picture look as if they are trapped in a single moment of time.

When Julia Buchanan enrolls at St. Anne’s at the beginning of junior year, Charlotte Ryder already knows all about the former senator’s daughter. Most people do... or think they do.
Charlotte certainly never expects she’ll be Julia’s friend. But almost immediately, she is drawn into the larger than-life-new girl’s world—a world of midnight rendezvous, dazzling parties, palatial vacation homes, and fizzy champagne cocktails. And then Charlotte meets, and begins falling for, Julia’s handsome older brother, Sebastian.
But behind her self-assured smiles and toasts to the future, Charlotte soon realizes that Julia is still suffering from a tragedy. A tragedy that the Buchanan family has kept hidden … until now.

I'm normally not a big fan of people on covers, but I like the way this depicts a memory - a point in time, like you said. Curious as to what it's about now... :)
ReplyDeleteI agree - usually I'm not too keen on the actual people/characters on books but in this case I think it works too :)
DeleteThis really is gorgeous! The only time I like people on covers is when the sun flare looks really cool. And boy does the sun flare look really cool!
ReplyDeleteI do love the sun flare. <3
DeleteAgreed! I am SO in love with this cover!!!
ReplyDeleteI like how they're dancing on the beach. The poses are just so fun and carefree.
