Because I am a relatively responsible person, I'll start with my remaining review copy, The Scorpion Rules. It's set to be released on September 22nd (the same day as Never Never) so I'll be finishing it this week before the review is scheduled to go up. It has a killer prologue that will make you never want to put it down.
Prince of Thorns is yet another book I'm hoping to come back to this month as it's different from some of the other books I have on my bookshelf and it's another cover that keeps drawing my eye. It's relatively short so I'm thinking that it won't take long to read once I set my mind to it.
Of course, I have to include Legacy of Kings on this list. It's a recent release and something I've been looking forward to since I bought it. After reading all of the Falling Kingdoms novels and Queen of Shadows, I needed a bit of a break from such involved stories (and I anticipate Legacy of Kings to be very involved).
Blood and Salt releases September 22nd. I have my copy pre-ordered (I blame Bookiemoji) and am really excited to read it. It's not fantasy. I'm honestly not sure what it is at this point, but it interested me so I snagged a copy. From what I understand, I think it's more of a thriller, but I honestly I haven't familiarized myself with it that much so don't quote me. I just knew that after reading Crystal's review, that I had to give it a try.
Release-wise, October is a busy month with Ice Like Fire, The Tournament at Gorlan, A Madness So Discreet, and I'm sure many others, so I'm really hoping to knock these novels off my list as well as some others that have been sitting around for far too long.

What's on your list this month? Are there any books I need to bump up on my priority list?
I have The Scorpion Rules on hold at my library for when it comes out and I already have a copy of Legacy of Kings! So many good books coming out this fall!
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoy The Scorpion Rules! The fall is going to totally rock the bookish world.
DeleteI just finished The Scorpion Rules and WOW IT WAS INTENSE. I liked it but didn't love it, sadly, but stiilllll. I'm so glad I read it. :D And I hope you love the Tournament at Gorlan a lot too! :D I'm finishing up This Broken Wondrous World by Jon Skovron...hopefully tonight?! It's kind of boring and I have like 2% motivation right now, though, blah.
ReplyDeleteI DNF'd The Scorpion Rules about half way through... I was just so bored with it. I tried but it just wasn't worth the time and effort it would take to finish it. Just wasn't for me. No motivation sucks. I'm riding a wave of motivation right now so I'm trying to take full advantage of it.
DeleteI loved Legacy of Kings! I know that most readers were turned off by the multiple POVs, but I myself adored the book! The story was super intense and the characters were terrific! I hope you love the book!
