Top Ten Tuesday: Books I've Read So Far

Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week I'm sharing the top ten books I've read so far this year. In no particular order...

Ah, Cress! I need Winter so bad. Can't wait to read it!

I had to reread this. There were no ifs, ands, or buts about it.

Dudes. I'm still fangirling over this. I just. My word. Thank you Random House for letting me read an ARC. Thank you so much. And now I need the third book please.

A wonderful ending to a great series. I finished this and had to start rereading The Selection. I just missed Maxon and America too much.

Luckily, I read Splintered just a few weeks before this came out but, even then, the wait was hard. I pre-ordered this puppy without any hesitations. Imagine my disappointment when it didn't appear on my nook at exactly midnight.

This is another book I consider myself very lucky to have acquired as an ARC. And by lucky, I mean I got this while everyone else was rushing to grab one of the limited copies on Netgalley. That my friend is luck especially when everyone wants it. It's worth all the hype.

The Madman's Daughter was the first book I read this year. It was also the first book I read along with someone (thanks Bonnie!). Loved it so much!

This is probably the most surprising book of the year. I expected to like it but not necessarily love it. I was really intrigued by the concept though so I went ahead and requested it on Netgalley. Oh my word people. I was sick when I read this and when I wasn't reading it, I was thinking or dreaming about it. No kidding.

I'd heard a lot of good things about Sekret but I honestly wasn't all that interested in it. I won a copy though and oh my word. SO GLAD I GOT IT.

Ah, this book. THIS BOOK. This is the first book that has affected me so deeply. I just... I couldn't finish it for an entire month - just thinking about it would make me start crying. It tore my heart out and ripped it to pieces.

What are the best books you've read so far this year?

  1. Splintered was on my list :D Gah, I love it so much. Also the whole of The Lunar Chronicles, because they are just amazing. I read Throne of Glass and liked it but didn't love it - maybe I should pick up Crown of Midnight...

  4. I just finished reading The One this weekend and I loved it as well. Everything just flowed so beautifully and worked out the way I wanted it to.
I have all of a sudden been hearing things about The Beautiful and Cursed series so I picked up the first book from the library on a whim, hope I enjoy it.
I really need to give Throne of Glass another try. I started reading it about half a year ago and stopped about a 1/3 into it. I need to restart it.

    1. The One was FANTASTIC.

I hope you like The Beautiful and the Cursed. I read it last year when it first came out and was blown away. Ah, sad! :( Yes, give Throne of Glass a second chance.
