What I'm Reading
This is only 204 pages on my NOOK and the pages are kind of small so I'm really hoping to finish this today. I enjoyed Valentino's take on the Wicked Queen from Snow White so I'm looking forward to seeing what she does with The Beast.

The Books
Thanks a bunch to Kensington Books for approving me on Netgalley! This one sounds heart-wrenching and just oh so good.
I bought this one Saturday morning (I'm pretty sure but it could have been Friday night) and decided to just read the first few paragraphs (I do this often with ebooks after I acquire them). I didn't want to put it down so, naturally, I read it all yesterday. It was amazing.
I finished City of Heavenly Fire and needed more (and new) Shadowhunter stuff so I went and bought the rest of The Bane Chronicles. I only have the last two left to read.
I've been eying this since it was on Netgalley but I wasn't quite sure so I never requested it. However... I saw it at B&N Saturday and had to grab it.

Book Boyfriend of the Week
Xander from The Distance Between Us totally takes this. Seriously, I think I internally squealed almost every time he showed up... and had to keep that squealing from escaping my lips.

Ya'll need to go buy this book ASAP. It was amazing!
Book Hangover? Book Panic?
I am having a bit of book hangover after reading City of Heavenly Fire. I seriously forgot how addicting the Shadowhunter world is. I'm trying to ease myself out of it with The Bane Chronicles.
Oooh, looking forward to your review of The Distance Between Us - I loved it! Also of Flirty Dancing and Searching for Sky, since they're both on my TBR. Plus, love that cover of The Beast Within, totally want to read that...
ReplyDeleteI really like The Beast Within's cover too! I bet it'll be even better in person.
DeleteI really really want to read The Distance Between Us!! (Or at least something by Kasie West.) Ohhh, but I'm so behind on all things Cassandra Clare. I'm only on book #2 of The Mortal Instruments! There's so many books out there!! *adds all the Cassandra Clare books to precariously tipping TBR*
ReplyDeleteGrab an ebook of it now then! It's only $1.99 right now. Oooo. Don't worry, you'll fly through Clare's novels.
