Therefore, to give you a break from all of the book reviews, I'll be blogging some "Twitter & Me" posts every so often. The regularity of this all depends on what I come across on twitter.
WARNING: An excessive amount of tweets from Mindy McGinnis below. Just for clarification, it's excessive on my part since I favorited every last one of these tweets (and more). These are just the recent gems.
I've begun trying to dissuade students from simply walking into my office by screaming "SACRED GROUND! SACRED TEMPLE" At them when they try.

Probably one of my favorite tweets of the week right there.
Rumors about next week's storm keep getting worse and worse. Any moment I'm expecting the weatherman to report that it has a cave troll.

The thing about this one is that Mindy recently spent six days at home because of her polar vortex in Ohio.
This is why all book signings should include pie. Because then if no one comes? ALL YOUR PIE ARE BELONG TO MEEEEEE.
— C.J. Redwine (@cjredwine) January 30, 2014
Miss Redwine is stressing about no one showing up to her book signing. Personally, I support the presence of pie anywhere but doughnuts might be easier since you can get up and walk around with them if you need to. Of course, it is a signing so that probably doesn't matter. Still. Pie and dougnuts? I'm pretty sure anyone would show up for that.
At work. I feel a bit like Gandalf because I have no memory of this place.

Again, Mindy just recently made it back to work....
@MindyMcGinnis Get writing, or I'll disable your Netflix. :-P

Mindy is dead bored and stuck at home (at the time of this tweet).
Buy books. Borrow books. Love books. Share books. Eat books. No, wait.

Yeah, I've seen that last part happen....
Didn't feel like my computer until the evil queen made her appearance.
All better. =D http://t.co/tHl7xRWeGU

.@Chasm_of_Books Eeee! Thanks!!! The Blackbeak witches and the wyverns (aka the dragons) miiiight be my favorite part of HEIR OF FIRE. :)
— Sarah J. Maas (@SJMaas) January 23, 2014
Be still my fangirling heart. I love the fact that Sarah has dragons and witches in her next novel.
@Chasm_of_Books I saw a sign the other day that said "You had me at bacon." I think I need to have this for my office.

This is a really fun post! I love reading authors' tweets. I'm always trying to come up with ways to add a little something different than just reviews on my blog, but I haven't found one I like yet.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to come up with new features!
DeleteThat Victoria Schwab tweet - LOL
ReplyDeleteHa, this is awesome! What a great idea. Good way to help people find people on twitter, too, in addition to breaking things up blog-wise. =)
ReplyDeleteLol. I totally had that thought earlier.
DeleteI'm going to find a way to make it in here. Mark my words! :D
ReplyDeleteI look forward to it!
DeleteLove this! I saw the Victoria Schwab one and marked it as favorite too :) I always fangirl when authors responds to my tweets!
