1st Blogoversary!

I can hardly believe it's time already, yet it feels like I've been blogging for much longer. Chasm of Books has finally reached its ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!

In this time we've seen the rise and fall of Monday Spotlights, quite a few Friday Couples, and the birth of Twitter & Me (which happens to be my personal favorite). Plus there have been many, many reviews. We've seen the rise and fall of bookish blogging memes here and the addition of a co-blogger, Eugenia (who makes my life so much easier and who happens to be pretty cool)!

I've had the pleasure of reading some awesome ARCs (Fire & Flood, The Winner's Curse, Will in Scarlet, The 57 Lives of Alex Wayfare, and Not a Drop to Drink to name a few). I've been able to participate in blog tours and have made some awesome blogging friends (Krysta and Brianna @ Pages Unbound, Melanie @ YA Midnight Reads, Jessi @ Novel Heartbeat, Nova @ Out of Time, Bonnie @ A Backwards Story, and Hannah @ Book Haven Extraoridnaire).

In addition I've finally been able to co-host a couple of read-alongs!

In the past year, I've stressed over numbers and content. This year I'm letting go of the numbers and reading what I want. This year I've decided to buy less books and read more of the ones I already have. I'm going to use the library and save money. I'm going to become more balanced with my blogging, writing, school, and health. Okay, so maybe that last one is going to be a bit harder, but you never truly fail until you quit.

I wouldn't give up the time I've been blogging. I've learned a lot about books, writing, the publishing industry, and my own desires. I've talked to some great people and have had a lot of fun. But you guys should know I wouldn't have come this far if you hadn't started reading my lonely little blog. Thank you.

So while the year may get crazy and I might read and blog a little less, I'll still be here because I love to share the book love. *wink*
